I had this same virus even with an anti virus and I had to crash the entire hard drive. Well my IT guy at work did all of it for me. Just running all of the programs that were talked about before won't help

Its VERY VERY seldom that you need to re-format your hdd unless a virus has corrupted your registry or mbr.

Otherwise there is always a fix for it, just a matter of how much you wanna work on it. Most people opt for the format as its the quickest, but even that doesn't always remove the viruses properly all the time.
