Just got done watching it and it was much better than House of 1000 Corpses. Rob Zombie did a brilliant job on this one.

Much grittier than House with better character development. The feel of a 70s style slasher was captured much better with this film. Through the film you actually start feeling bad for the Otis family even though they are running around gutting people mercilessly.

I dunno I rented it but I am going to put it on my purchase list being a big fan of slasher and horror films.

I rented House of 1000 Corpses figuring it was going to be pretty cool since Rob Zombie directed it. Big dissapointment that turned out to be. Nice to know the second one wasn't such a flop... I may have to check it out.

Well you also have to realize that House had to be cut up really bad because Disney wasn't going to allow it to be released if he didn't. Even after the edits he had to put his own money out in order to get them to release it. It really sucks they are like that and I am hoping that soon they release it as an unedited film in it's original layout so we can finally see what all the noise was about.

I had no idea House was edited. h: Hopefully they do release an unedited version; I'd def. re-watch it.

Yeah it sat on the shelf for close to two years in final form before it was finally hacked up and a release contract was finally offered.

I rented it yesterday, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I wasn't a bigg fan of the first. I hope this one is better.
