Default Mouse: Laser vs. optical

When I upgraded from the standard ball mouse to an optical, it was a night and day difference, I'll never go back to a ball mouse. Now i'm wanting to upgrade to a wireless mouse and of couse there's a new technology out now, the laser mouse. Is it worthwhile to get a laser mouse for a net surfer?

You're just fine with the optical. I love my laser mouse because I use it for playing games and it's gad damn accurate.

Skip wireless, it's still too laggy imo for games but OK for surfing.

I'd never go back to the ball, I have one at work and it aggravates the hell outta me

I didn't think the extra coin for a laser would be worth more than bragging rights for me(not like I'd be the only one with it, but it's not like everybody has one either, especially wireless) so wireless optical it is.

Laser >>> Optical

I have both, and it's an easy win. Try the G5 or G7 FTW

You get generally higher resolution, and you get better response on most surfaces with laser. If you're retarded and got one of those glass mouse pads that's good for optical, then the laser wont track as well, but laser works better on just about every other surface.

i will never go back to just a plain optical, even for normal use. i have an optical right now that absolutely sucks compared to my laser. huge difference.
