HDTV: flat panel good brand?
on BF - Walmart has Viore for 997. 42" HDTV Plasma - best bang for the buck
I did some extensive research and found out that the Costco's Vizio is the best bang for the buck with its great policy. Maxents are okay too at cheaper price.
Either those or any Sony and Pioneers should be good for higher ends. Yes, you heard it right, they're good at making TVs :-D Next to them would be Panasonic

So you think I should wait to buy? 3, 6, or 9 months?
For LCD yes, LCD's cost more then Plasma.
Right now the best would be the Panasonic TH42PWD8UK for your money. Panny already dropped the prices of there Plasma's TV a few months ago.
