write the DA asking for pardon in exchange for paying the associated fines.

I've got a speeding ticket almost 2 years ago. Took a defensive driving class at IMPROV comedy club(best class ever) and got rid of it. Had to pay the fine though but was only $95 but didnt get any points.
Edit: it was 52 on 35 mphs

If you got nabbed in MA you're SOL. No driving-course sentences. The MA courts abolished them years ago.

Find out if your city offers "deffered adjudication". Especially if you are a low or non repeating offender, you can get mercy by the court by paying a lesser fine and would be required to not recieve a moving violation, probably for between 6 and 12 weeks---if you do get another ticket, you would be liable for the rest of the financial obligation of the original ticket--plus get both violations on your record. drive nice.

just go in and fight it, if this is your fist offense ever then it shouldnt be a problem, assuming you've been driving for a couple of years. i am sure the judge will take it easy on you.

Not sure if it was said, too tired to read.

Write or call your Asst. DA and they almost always reduce it for you...

The whole system is corrupt and B.S.

I've had layers from $50 to $150. I always get the ticked fixed becasue of my job. It's so wrong that my last ticket was for driving down a closed road was reduced to FAULTY EQUIPMENT (completely passable street and after constuction hours plus we are a business on that street).

Got a ticket in Iowa once and was S.O.L.
