the thing is that it depends on shipping Co you use... anything over a 20$ value will have duty, anything that has duty fees will be have brokerage fees from the carrier(fee for paying the dutys and shit). I know there is a way to receive from over the border without having to pay those fees, but not sure how... eigther air mail, or ground mail. My guess would be airmail. But i would think that if the sender of the gift calls to get info from the carrier he will be using they would be able to give all the info he needs.

 

I think USPS is the safe one, UPS is the one that always brokerages…

 

Well, you can always claim a value of under $20? Of do they open the package and determine themselves?

 

You could try doing what you do with letter and packages to get around shipping. Have no stamp and put the persons address you want to send it to in both spots, the return address and the send to. They will mark it, return to sender and they have to send it to the address. They can't toss it because thats illegal.
