Newbies, you should all know there are first problems when a first year of a new generation rolls out. For the most part these aren't as serious of problems as you see in the Evo's and the STi's that come out. Most of these car's have yet to hit the street anyways.

Did you mean 30th year?>>

I think he was being sarcastic. GM had a tendency to roll out a new model, and then let it stay out in the market and dry up for 10+ years before making any changes. The Cavalier was introduced in 1982 and didn't get it's first major update until 1995 which then fermented for another 10 years before it was finally replaced by the Cobalt.

exactly ...

this is the first model run of a car. While Honda tries to QC a car to the best of their ability, some bugs aren't found until the product goes to market.

Although X amount of cars are being recalled, it doesn't mean all of them are defective. Most of this work is preventive measures taken.

I feel that they are overrated/overpriced/overbought and under styled, under generous at the dealerships and worse no longer a leader. The competitors have aimed a target slightly above the accord / civic and it shows. The Honda was a standout when everyone made crap. That isnt the case anymore.. so why would any one purchase just a reliable car when other better or slightly different are available..especially when the new civic has a recall like a bad acceleration pedal! The styling is wierd and the buttons are wierd too>and professional reviewers are stating that. Will this improve the attitude of greedy and rude Honda dealers? I doubt it.. they think they are still the gold standard. I am confused, isnt the Parent of Honda still in Japan? I thought we had a world war and dropped 2 nuclear bombs there.. and yet people buy them with all this. The Japanese never opened thier market to American Cars..yet we did. Stop the scam. Also Honda abandoned the tuner group.. but americans are going great their. If it is reliability, then your day is over.. everyone else has caught up: Friendlier nicer and cheaper.. you used to be .. but now?
So, let me get this straight...

You took the time to register on our board, and with the very first post you decide to piss and moan about a recall for Honda's very first drive-by-wire throttle?
[It's an assembly error and they're responding as promptly as possible, in many cases before the cars leave the lot... can you claim that GM would respond faster?]

I'm no Honda fanatic (my last car was a VW)... but seriously, piss off.

If you want to believe that GM's Impala is a superior car to the Accord V6, or that the Cobalt is superior to the new Civic, there's little anyone can do to convince you otherwise. Fanaticism has a way of blinding people to the truth.

Usually, I welcome new members to the board... but based on your opening rant, there's depressingly little worth praising. :a:

If you don't like Honda's for whatever reason than why not just don't buy them and stay off Honda forums?

Just because I'm not a fan of domestic cars doesn't mean I'm going to go on thier boards and start trolling. Seriously, grow up.
