no need. it's already activated

lojack is alwasy working, the money you pay to install it covers it for the life of the vehicle.

when it's stolen lojacks towers send out a tiny signal and turn it on in your car. it even has it's own backup battery.

if it then is within the tower limits of a town that subscribes to lojack it will pop up on their lojack screens.

don't worry, i'm calling them on every little detail. they will be paying for all the damages. no way we shell out over 2k a year on a car that cost 10k and arent going to get it fixed completely after i had taken the precautions i had.

nopers, it's connected to the vehicles VIN number, nothing else

:edit:
though i do think there are newer forms of lojack that provide extra services, like telling you that your car has been moved and such, that might require you to reactivate. i'd suggest you call lojack ASAP and ask them. cause it might be a load off your shoulders knowing it works

What happens when the vehicle owner sells their vehicle? Can they transfer LoJack Early Warning to their new vehicle?

The LoJack Early Warning Recovery System is not transferable from one vehicle to another, as the serial number on their system is registered by the police to the 17-digit VIN of their vehicle. When selling their vehicle however, the vehicle owner should mention to the dealer or buyer that their vehicle is equipped with LoJack Early Warning. Having LoJack Early Warning may enhance the vehicle's resale value. The subsequent owner of the vehicle can then call LoJack to purchase a subsequent owner package and have the system registered in their name.

right off of the website, and i never had to register mine and it switched over.

it is. it's the flat fee of buying a new registration. you already have the system, they wont charge you for that (it requires proximity buttons and sensors in the car the usual lojack doesnt)
