Default troubles

hey guys i gotta go back to boston for thanksgiving and i need to get a new car that week. i need a car to use for school. i want to get a rsx-s 05 or a tsx maybe 6speed+navi or 06 no difference but is it good to drive a lot of highway miles right after u get a new car? 650 miles ....not a good idea....?

I don't think it would matter that you would drive a lot of highway miles... just go easy on the car during the breaking period. No hard acceleration, not going high speeds (staying within the speed limit would probably be enough), etc.

i would get a tsx and i would think easy highway driving would be a good way to break it in.. i really have no idea though

Troubles? Shit, I wish I had this problem.

New cars are fine to drive during the break in period, just don't floor the engine or go over 55mph for the first 1000 miles.

After the first 1000 miles, drain and fill your transmission fluid (do not flush). During break in, your gears are grinding for the 1st time. You'll find the most metallic mess within the first 1K.

Also, do an oil change.
