Because the team is still playing. He wants to see a particular band and they are not playing at all. Not just one person. The performance is different from what he paid for. When you get tickets for a game, you pay to see the team play, not just one person, even if you just want to see that one person. If that one person does not play, the team is still playing and the event has not changed. This case he wanted to see a particular band. That band is no longer playing. The concert is different now. Here in lies the problem.

 

2x ticketmaster is the devil/evil empire..there should be something written maybe on the back of the ticket about refunds? cancellations happen if there isnt a written restriction u may get a partial refund disputing the charges thru your credit card co. u have to write them with the dispute within 30 days they investigate and get with u..

Note that the concert wasn't only for the particular band, so the concert still went on.

Point is, both that specific band and a certain player is part of the whole.

No it isn't the End. The concert was for 2 particular bands. One of hich is not playing. Hence the concert is now not what he was paying for. Sure a game could be different if one player does not play, but the two teams playing are still the same teams playing

 

What are the 2 bands, one of which is not playing? It sounds like there were 5 bands, 1 of which is not playing. And the ticket was advertised as "SENSES FAIL AND SAVES THE DAY" which both are still playing.

 

I have no clue, they aren't my tickets, go ask Skelly. My point is that it is different than one player not playing a game. An entire band is not playing which imo changes the event.

Do I think he will get his money back? Nope, only way he would probably if it was the headliner canceling. Otherwise ticketmaster would stick him.

 

Well, coming off saying it was 2 bands and 1 isnt playing makes it sound like half the event was cancel, in which I would agree that he should be issued a refund. But its not the case. From what little I know, there were 5 bands, 2 main bands and 3 supporting, and 1 supporting band is not playing. :dunno:
