I'll keep that in mind when I'm in Canada. Cops can detect whether you have radar or not.

 

meh, I speed too much when I have one, and the piggies round here use laser anyway, I dont care if your V1 can detect laser, by the time it is detected they already have you clocked and you are fucked......I would rock out a scrambler if I could afford one.

I drive like an old man 99% of the time so I don't feel the need to have one.

 

PA cops use laser now anyway...and like Lee said, once detected your already done.

they got detectors that detect your radar detector.

 

They have decent scramblers for about 100 for only the scrambler. With most scramblers its a seperate device that you plug into your detector. There are some out that are both though, and those seem to be better, so I've heard. Alot of the brands will pay your ticket if you're going 15 over or 15% over, which ever is the lowest. They don't even lower the speed very much. Only 5 or 6 mph.

And thats not all true. The laser signal could bounce off of a car infront of you and you could detect it before the cop turns it onto you. Its best to have your radar sensor down low for the best laser detections. Most times, though, when you get a laser detection, its too late. I'm glad cops by me just mainly use K/KA band.


A long time ago my parents had a radar detector. They were traveling through Virginia and turned it off and put it on the floor. Somehow it got turned back on, a cop detected that, pulled them over and gave them like a 150 dollar fine for it. They had to search to find the detector too, yet the cop still gave them a ticket.

 

I have the wireless passport. I've read a lot of good articles on the Valentine 1 but a few people have told me that they suck and that the passport is the best on the market. So I got the passport and I love it. It works really well Plus since I have the wireless model I don't have and wires making my interior look crapy.

 

yes. Valentine One has saved my ass quite a few times (cops still mainly use radar around here).

 

isnt it only plugged in for the power??
