You would think that the people sending these files back and forth would just learn how to create links within the network instead of sending the entire file.

I used to have that problem at the Hydrology firm I worked at until I went around and showed certain people how to do that.

We don't have network storage for us to do that with.

What kind of company do you work for Brian?? LOL. In your case we would share data across one of many network drives and it was confidential material, limit access to who can read it, and who can modify it.

A company with way too many controls, audits and bs. They took all our shared drives away from us atleast 2 years ago :sad:

i'd use outlook in the background.

set it to delete messages from the server in say 14 days and save them infinitly on the computer. this way the server wont ge toverloaded and incase you do need to go back tot hem you can alwasy just switch over to outlook and forward the messages you need to yourself... and bingo they are back in your inbox ready for you to use in lotus

it's just a matter of how your email is setup.... is it in office or is it something liek a POP3 account?

meh, i prolly wasnt thinking straight, lotus notes is a protocol isnt it? much like microsoft exchange?

docs open integrates with a word processing program.
word processing program = lotus 123
