top gear cancelled??
apparently top gear won't be shown on discovery anymore, yet we're stuck with top quality programs like "i shouldn't be alive" and "american chopper". which, by the way, i did enjoy back when it started, but now it's just the same old tired shit of the father pissing, moaning, and arguing with his son.
i blame this on the nascar nation that's so predominant in this country..
read more about it here: http://forums.autoweek.com/thread.js...21738&tstart=0
and if you're so inclined, follow the links to send a complaint to discovery.

Thank you for contacting Discovery Channel. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns with us regarding Top Gear.
Your comments will be forwarded to our program management and executives and will be taken into consideration.
The "Top Gear" show was not "taken off the air" but rather ran its pattern. It is being revamped for a U.S. audience and will return later this year.
Look for it in December.

But their drivers....well except for the one that is paid to be a driver....aren't that good. I mean sure they can get the car to do what you don't want it to do.........
Vicki Butler > them
Vicki Butler > them
i think they're plenty good enough to show what these cars are capable of, and the fact that they end their reviews with a run on a track with a professional driver negates anything that they couldn't do.
besides, you don't need to be michael schumacher to give a good review. these guys' reviews are more honest and complete - imo - than any other car show/magazine i've ever watched/read. most other stuff looks like a freakin' advertisement, not a review.

this is sort of OT...but what the fuck happened to the speed channel? nascar has taken it over....i thought it was suppose to be a show for car enthusiast not the redneck channel...instead of showing RE-RUNS of stupid nascar races they could be showing top gear shows or anything else for that matter i think its rediculous and it does it makes me really mad....heres something simple uh..make a nascar channel?
