Silly Question
Let's say someone bought a Subaru WRX, non STI for the purposes of keeping insurance costs down.
Q: Can he have STI parts installed on the car to up the performance a little without voiding the warranty.
I've wondered about this before but never really pursued it.

you would void the factory warranty on non STi parts you put on the car. I'm not sure what STi engine parts are available for regular WRX but probably nothing major.

does subaru warranty STi parts they sell? if they do then you should be okay.

sure hehe but I know in the BMW world. if the dealer doesn't install it, then no warranty on the replaced part.
