Default Engagement ring

So im taking the pludge to hell.

I've finally narrowed down to the engagement ring imma by my s.o
It took me 5 months to find one which i think she will like because shes very picky.

ring specs:
Princess cut .75
VS1
F

there are 6 smaller princess cut diamonds( 6 on each side ) on the ring also ( sidestones )
those are
VS2
F
all those diamonds combined are.50

Total C.W is 1.25

Do you think this ring is nice? hopefully from a females point of view.

I read an article somewhere about Costco and their diamond rings. While their settings tend to be crap, apparently the diamond in their rings tend to be valued more than what you would pay for them at Costco. So you could get the diamond at Costco and have it set somewhere else and save a buttload of money.

Article

But to answer your question, yeah that ring does look very nice

My wife would buy it for herself.

How old are you? If you are 19-22 I can understand but if your older then in my experience that ring is going to be too small. You have 13 diamonds total and they barely add up to 1 ct. Women are very picky about size. Even if they say they don't. No offense to you at all, but that size is for more of and anniversary ring or promise ring, not an engagement ring. If you can't afford bigger, I understand, but maybe you should wait a little longer till you have more $$$. Or you can even do lay a way services at most jewlery stores or even take a loan. I know it seems alot for just a ring but if she is worth getting married to then she would be worth the debt.

Im 25. Well we sort of have the same thought on this.
We are buying a house soon and figured why spend thousands of dollars on a ring. ( 3100.00 is what im paying )
The ring isnt going to shelter us, feed us etc... from my point of view.

I got the ring from Bluenile.com.
If worse comes to worse I'll increase the size of the diamond. I guess i'll save up a tad more than.
but I figure minimum 1ct for the center.

I've been with Lyn for almost 4 years
