Default what do you guys think about an audi a4?

i dont know. im still deciding on what kind of car i want to get. im planning obviously to just run my car until it dies. no value on it really and it still runs, might as well just keep it. Now this led me into another thing, just pay off the damn thing right away vs. making monthly payments. yes it would be nice driving a nice almost new car, but im still a college dude, and want to save some money, and not blow it all on payments.

so here is where im stuck at. ive been considering getting another integra, but its just going to be the same thing again. so ive been really looking at just 2 cars. either a first gen acura 2.3 cl or a first gen audi a4. i really like both, but, i dont know something about audi that just gives its presence the extra shit. note, i wont really being purchasing this car for some time, until my car really does die, so i think i might have some time to save some more cash.

so what do ya'll think?

Why do you even need a new car? If you take care of your current one it'll last you for years.

if those are the only options to choose from, i personally would get another integra with low miles.

the B5 A4 (the one youre referring about) is now 2 body styles old... and more than likely will have really high mileage. its not cheap to fix and upkeep the maintainance on these cars, especially if youre not the first owner and happen to get one that has intermittent problems.

i would pick the integra, cuz then if something ever happens, ill just fix it myself at home.

ive heard alot about the issues that concern electrical shit in the car. but everyone says, besides that, its pretty solid.

is that true?

kind of. german cars in general, imo, are notorious for electrical problems..... if you get one with those problems... once it starts, its non-stop.

its a good car...with the exception of that... but then again, that kind of stuff could be said for a lot of different kind of cars.

I would get a GSR Sedan, in fact I did. I was looking at cars similar to the ones you are considering when I bought the integra 8 years ago.

I fear quality control problems on the newer VW/Audi products. I am an avowed supporter of air-cooled VW's, had 300,000 miles and 25 trouble free years with the bug, and expect the 914 to perform in a similar fashion after I have gone through it and replaced the worn out parts. That said, I am also a staunch Honda guy, you can't argue with reliability and success.
