I would get a GSR Sedan, in fact I did. I was looking at cars similar to the ones you are considering when I bought the integra 8 years ago.

I fear quality control problems on the newer VW/Audi products. I am an avowed supporter of air-cooled VW's, had 300,000 miles and 25 trouble free years with the bug, and expect the 914 to perform in a similar fashion after I have gone through it and replaced the worn out parts. That said, I am also a staunch Honda guy, you can't argue with reliability and success.
