I see job postings all the time for entry level salaried marketing analysts, project managers, shit like that. They all say they want some kinda marketing degree. :dunno:

Business admin with some marketing on the side doesn't look as good as straight marketing from what I've heard.

Frankly I just laugh at absolutely anyone who gets a management undergrad but hey.

Yeah, I see management as something that is innate, and you pick up a few tricks with those filler classes you take. There is no way I'd major in Management. Same thing goes for Marketing (to me) only because marketing seems really intuitive to me, as I'm a psychology minor. If you want a guaranteed decent paying job right out of college w/ a business degree, your very best bet would definitely be an emphasis in accountanting.

I wish I had double majored in EECS (electrical engineering and Computer Science) with my Legal Studies(pre-law).

That would have been sweet...

Well I tried not to offend too many people but franky I think the entire school of business is shit. But then, I am a strong believer in learning to think instead of learning how to perform a task. It makes you much more flexible in the job market.

However, I do view the accounting and finance degree fields as useful. However, both could be merged into the colleges of arts and science before the business schools of the world are burned to the ground.

Personally if I was heading in the direction of a BB, it would certainly be in finance. It's really an economics degree with some more operations management/budgeting/applied courses to boot.

This is true. Pay is less than other engineering disciplines though (I started at about 40k with an M.S., six years ago).

Which is why I'm doing finance...If I had any foresight I would've minored in economics, but I'm a little too far in my psych minor to change now.
