Yeah, you can do it. The way I quit was I set a firm date to quit (day after graduation for me) and stuck to it. Extra green apple gum was my savior. Not to mention I was drunk and in Miami not even a few days after graduation so it was tempting. After the first week it gets easier.

Try doing things that you do not associate smoking with. I finally quit chewing tobacco when I moved to NH and took the train too and from work for a few months. Not being in my car for long times finally got me to quit the habit...I associated driving with dipping. Break that association and it will help you to quit.
