Well I think it was just the bottom end's time to let go...it had never been rebuilt, and was a 97. It didn't help that I was in a sand wash at Ocotillo Wells, and pinned it from first through sixth gears, power shifting.

The motor siezed while doing about 70 in the sand wash, locked up the rear tire, and I started sliding sideways.
