A friend of mine manages an oil change place here in the Dallas area. I didn't get the details but apparently they were offering free services to Katrina evacuees as a gesture of kindness. They had a woman drive in, and she asked for her free oil change because she was from Louisiana. When the guy on duty noticed that her state inspection sticker was a Texas one, he asked her about it. She said something like, "Well I am from Louisiana. I moved here 10 years ago." My friend wouldn't or couldn't repeat what the guy said to her

 

Typical. You just have to say exactly what you mean, and mean exactly what you say.

Soldiers are the worst! You have to completely spell everything out or else they'll come back later and say "you didn't say that"... Different. I know, and she was way off, but still. You just can't assume that people will know what you mean.

so i hear. you have to be very specific about the objectives and procedures, otherwise it'll go awry.

 

Just people taking advantage of a bad situation !!
