There's two types of riders. Those who have dumped a bike and those who will dump a bike. Looks clean though man, good choice.

I spy Micron exhaust too

it will be dropped... if you are riding it or just putting it on a truck... it's going to take a fall

Well yeah. Pretty much every bike gets dropped at some point or other. But there are actually riders out there who have never gone down. Granted they are like the older more civilized mid-life-crisis type riders.

I can't wait to start working on my SV again. She's gonna end up looking really mean when I'm done with her.

Speaking of which I could order some more CF now.

Later!

that was my first bike. never laid it over or wrecked on it. 88 kawasaki ninja 250. $84 every 6 months for full coverage and around 60 mpg. deffinatly chose a good starter bike. the one your looking at is nice, id say its a keeper.

Starters =

A sporty bike would be the Suzuki GS500 is an excellent starter bike. It's not overly powerful aby any means, but it'll haul ass around town.

A cruiser type bike would be the Honda Shadow.... oh I can't remember 450 or 500 or something like that... very similar in performance to the GS if just a little slower.

There are actually plenty of other sub-liter bikes that make great starters but they're probably a bit less popular.

honda rebel is by far the most popular starter bike because of it's easy nature. i must say though, through my research, i have found a winning combination to be a mid 90's 600 paired with learning to ride at a MSF course with the rebel before venturing out on the 600.

and a word for the wise. i've said this before, and i will most likely be saying it again... when you think you are ready to take it to the next level, you arent.
