Do you have a vague idea of the cost of a home in California?

Try starting out at $800,000 for post-war bulldozer bait.
And it goes well into the millions for the upscale neighborhoods.

Did you finance the Z?

If so, do whatever you can to pay it off quickly (assuming there is no penalty for early payback) or sell the car on if you can't afford to run it without going deeper into debt.

If you own it outright, I'd simplify things and go down to one car.
Is the lack of space / seats in the Z a deal-killer?

You gotta have a plan and stick to it.

there is no way you can afford a home on single income in cali unless its a 1 bedroom condo maybe

Most people have 15 to 30 year mortgages, meaning you'd have to wait that long before you put money in a car.
