I recently moved to FL and sent out 13 package's of our personal effects, that was Aug 29th, it's now Sept 13th and 3 of our package's are not here. 1 of the package's was damaged and the contents were moved from an 18"x18"x16" to a 12"x12"x8" box, how do you fit the contents of a 18x18x16 box into a 12x12x8 box if nothing is missing? I insured the package's for $500 each and now fedex is telling me that they won't pay the $500 I insured the package's for...they sold me the insurance now they won't pay on it? 2 of the package's are lost, went out on the truck and never came back. The other 10 package's we received looked beaten to hell, some of them you could reach right in and grab the stuff inside. I packed these boxes with storage tape, stronger and more tacky than packing tape, how did these packages come out looking like this? If they don't fix this matter I'm gonna have to go to small claims court to fight this.

don't empty the boxes!! take pictures!!

hopefully you kept receipts.

yea if u kept ur reciepts u can take them to court and win no problem. if u bring up court with them im sure they will settle it b4 taking it that far.

What receipts? I don't keep receipts for old personal items...who does? I moved into my apartment I don't have room for 10 damaged boxes...already threw away the cardboard. I sure as hell am not gonna let them come pick up my belongings and go thru them, look at how they handled them the 1st time, I might not have anything left. We did take picture's of some of the boxes, but not all. I won't ship anything fedex again, I hope their main office burns down and the insurance doesn't cover it.

wow that is really bad service. I've never had a problem with them. Then again I never shipped anything that big with them either :dunno:

Yeah, you need to keep the shipping receipt and document what they look like when thy arrive. For big orders I even document what it looks like when I ship stuff to be sure.

My receipts were online, I have a fedex account. They're just refusing to insure the package's. Once I find out where the last 2 lost package's are I'm calling my credit card and filing a dispute against the charges.

I'm awaiting a package that is being delivered via FedEx and it was held over for a day for a "Regulatory Clearance Delay".
