dude its this contraption they put on your finger. then its snaps real quick and a thingy books into your finger. scary as hell

 

they prick your finger and takes a few drops out and put it in this solution to see if your blood sinks or floats. If it sinks, you've got enough iron in your blood to donate.

 

i think my blood type makes blood donation useless.

 

We have so many blood drives here at school, but I'm always scared because last time I gave blood I passed out about an hour and a half later. Can't have that happen during class or on the way home. I want to do it again though

 

I wouldn't say that...if you have the most common blood type, that just means there are more people that will need it.

 

I gave blood in highschool for the first time. I gave blood as soon as i got there that morning. After I was done I "pretended" i felt sick. So i sat in those awesome recliners and ate milk and cookies all day, and slept. Highschool days >

In my high school they sent you home right after lunch if you gave blood, so imagine how pissed I was they made me stay since I couldn't drive. We also got ice cream later in the year (free, toppings put on by the principal), and two detention passes.

Needless to say, donating blood was very popular at my school.

 

donate blood then go drinking. you get drunk 12% faster.

i try to donate couple times a year. just remember to eat well a couple hours beforehand.

 

Im nervous...i give blood at 1:45. I for some reason feel light headed though.
