Unfortunately, the two things I like are outweighed by what I don't, and I got a new job yesterday.

 

- Great pay and networking

- have to drive around and load and unload a set 2 times a day 6 days a week
- The pressure of the company's reputation on my back

- The company pays ALL of my benefits which are full coverage on EVERYTHING. Health, Eye, Dental, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and other eastern medicinal methods

 

-Work consists of getting on the internet and going to the snack machine every 30 minutes

-Boss checks up on me
-I dont like doing the testings or the reports

-Beneficial to my career

 

company's private, so IPO might be in the future

sometimes long hours, no OT
can get repetitive

i learn useful things like excel, access, sql, vb

i was thinking of putting in a year or two, then looking for something new, but senior management recognized and rewarded my hard work, so i'll stick around a bit longer.

I get to learn a lot from the computer gurus i work with.


I stand for 10 hours a day, sometimes experiencing periods of agony during slow business hours for ridiculously low pay.
People, especially the wealthy, snooty types don't understand that you're a human being and can be rather rude and condescending.


It pays the bills and should be somewhat beneficial with the knowlege i accumulate should I decide to take the Computer Science route in college.
