Bad Fitment VIS hood ............?

you can't just bolt it on. you gonna have to play with the fenders, and ruber mounts under the hood, and the points it actually bolts to....

i played with the hinges and rbber bump stops...idk what else to do.....

Mine does the same thing on the passenger side. Just cut out some of the skeleton in the front area. I didnt, but that should solve it.

:doh: i meant the ones on the core support, but it looks to seem u have. that sucks. im in the same boat as u. but my oem hood fits perfect and fine with no gaps and thats with a new core support, fenders and bumper all from my lil mishap few years back. with the vis i have a shitty gap on the passenger side and the driver side is perfect.

I always hear everyone recommend VIS for cf hoods, but are there other companies that offer better fitting hoods that are good quality?

did you try adjusting the fenders and maybe the core support like i metioned above.

if you have aftermarket fenders and core support, id say that would be the first place to look for improperly installed parts... every VIS hood ive ever seen has fit like a glove. also, the hoods are made in batches so they would probably have a rash of bad fitting ones if the hood was the problem.

got any friends with 99-00 civics? try it on a car with stock fenders/core support.
