If you do get a $16.99 figure in addition to Cybertron Prime, my advice would be to get Leobreaker/Ligerjack. That way you can do the link-up to Liger-Convoy.

The only reason I collect the G1 stuff is because it brings back memories. They're classics. When I hold a TFC in my hands, it transports me back to the good old care-free days of childhood.

If I actually stop to think about it, in robot mode the G1 toys suck. I never liked the beast wars series, Armada, Super-Link, Energon. The toys in the Cybertron line are different. They're much better than the previous lines. They look good in vehicle and robot mode, and they transform exactly the same way as you see in the cartoon.

You'll really enjoy the figures. Little Ham Jr. will have fun with them too.

What i liked about the g1 stuff is that they actually look liked real cars, jets, guns and such. Everything after is just a bit too cartoonish for me, though I do have a few cybertron figures (prime, megs, thundercracker, JDM starscream, supreme starscream, and hybrid convoy).

True. Absolutely True.

I love the Alternators/Binaltech line because of their accurate vehicle modes. It's the Alternators line that dragged me back into the TF fold.

G1 toys were unposable bricks.

You'd be lucky to get a knee that works ... but if it did, it was purely because that was a transformation point. G1 is terrific because that's what I grew up with ... but remove the nostalgia, Cybertron is better.

I have to agree with what most people said. G1 was cool as vehicles, but they mostly sucked as robots. Cybertron is too cartoony, but they are still fun. I love Alts/BT's though.

BT's are G1 recreated. They're using real cars with new methods of designing toys.

Cybertron is cartoony ... well ... because it is a cartoon. They can't place Nissans and Toyotas in cartoons anymore, so this is what you're given ... futuristic cars and original designs.
