Default busted axle or wheel bearing?

i posted this in the integra forum, but it didn't seem to get too many responses... on m y 95 integra, when i make a right turn, i'm getting a "whirring" sound. is that indicative of a busted right axle (the boot seems to look ok?) or a wheel bearing?

not always the case. my rear bearing in my teg is going, it stops when i turn in one direction and intensifies in the other.

and on my ram, my front left went and it scraped when i turned to the right, no sound at any other time....

hm, well if it is a bearing, how do i know which side it's on? i get the whirring only when i make a right turn, and as soon as the wheel is straight again it stops.

No, axles (bad cv boots/joints) click when they are bad....wheel bearings make a whirring noise.

have someone stand outside of the car in a parking lot and make right turns until they can pinpoint which wheel it's coming from.

yep.. that's because body roll causes more pressure to be applied to the rear left.
