I've read the book by Anthony Swafford.
It was a very good read... gives people who havent been over there an honest and real version of life overseas as a Marine.

ALOT of Marines and soldiers come back pretty anti-war.
Everyones gung ho until they live it. I am speaking of Infantry though too... not sure the situations for other MOS's.

These days the only branch that stays longer than six months is the Army, but that's just because we get more done that way.
