Good change.. I call everyone buddy... it isnt deragatory.

I know alot of people from another branch who have been doing MORE then their time over there. Dont start with teh Army is taking the brunt of it...

They might be holding shop now, but it was alot more then the Army who kicked ass there.

Got it.

I've joked around on here about Army being deployed the longest and doing the most work, and we honestly are the only branch that deploys for a year at a time, but I actually wish we only did six month deployments. I never meant to take anything away from anyone else. I respect all the branches and of course the civilians who work over here.

My cousin is a brand new Lance Coporal actually, so you can imagine we go back and forth in a playful way. But that's all it was ever meant to be. I'm proud to say I have friends in the Air Force, Marines and Navy.

Actually, all O-6 and above commands in the Marine Corps are staying for a minimum of one year. This was effective a couple months ago.

I didnt' mean to hi-jack this thread.

Surprisingly though, a lot of average civilians don't know that Jarhead is a common name for Marines and they think that military personal are all basically the same. Unless of course they have a family member serving or something.

I'm hoping to catch the movie at some point.
