Default ethics question...

if you move into a new place and you find that the phone line is still active, is it okay to accept calls and make local calls only with that line (as long as you dont make long distance or pay service calls)

2 ways to look at it....

its already in service, as long as extra costs arent brought on by using it, it isnt wrong....

its still stealing, call the phone company and let them know....

ummm. the bill will come to that address.

If you're living there while the calls are made, you're responsible.

You'll wind up being responsible in the end. I mean they know where you live :reechy:

ok "you're friend" :chuckles:

Nothing is free. I am sure that sometime they will figure it out. They won't want to eat up the cost.

i work for a phone co here in canada and i can tell you that your not going to be responsible for local calls/monthly service. As for long distance they can start a investigation to see if fraud was done. they get al the numbers you called long distance are those relatives of your ect... I would recommend to use it locally only.

thats how it is here anywais
