The bearings and whatnot replace bushings and take slop out of the suspension's movement so the shocks, springs and sway bars can more precisely control what's going on, at the expense of some extra noise, vibration and harshness.

So how many soft bushings that pivot are there that can be replaced by hard ones? I know the rubber bushings that don't pivot can be replaced by polyurethane ones. What is a pillowball mount?

That's nothing! I pulled 1.19 Gs with my 1991 Civic Si on STREET TIRES! The CRX in SCC had R tires

Perhaps they are referring to an averaged skidpad reading as opposed to one peak reading during a turn.

Used GTECH Pro. I had 4 consisent readings of 1.15-1.19 Gs on 4 autocross runs.
