7200 rpm > 4200 rpm.

7200 can access data, almost, 2x faster ... you should load alot faster.

7200 will also heat up and use more power in laptops too.

Assuming you have lots of ram too.

The speed just says how fast it will write out and retrieve the information.

is there a big benefit between 4800 and 5400 rpm drives? Also, I looked at some different 60 GB internal laptop drives on www.dirtcheapdrives.com ...which one would you guys recommend over the others and why?
