they're gonna fight for a while til the establish dominance. I started w/ 10 of them...now there are 7. (remember the other thread? i bought mine that weekend) feed them a lot or they'll try to eat each other! i feed 2x/day and they eat much more than any other fish i've ever had.
I also have a plecasamus (sp?) for the algae since its near a window.

They are all pretty aggressive, my Jaguar Cichlid halfway tore the lower lip off my Texas Cichlid. The Jag is about 15 inches now and gets to live alone, surprising how much personality a fish can have. If you are going to have a few really mean ones, you have to have at least a few more good spots to hang out than you have fish, so they don't fight over caves

i went to home depot and got some clay flower pots and PVC elbows for my tank when i set it up....made sure i had a spot for 10 fish to hide. they love them now and the tank kinda has an industrial look
