Also, what is "response time"? The 2nd one has 12 ms the 1st one has 25 ms. The 1st screen has 4 usb ports, the 2nd has none.

i'm not sure what I'm looking for or "what's good".

(btw, both screens are $206 shipped)

oh and response time = the lower the better because if you have really good eyes the refreshing of the screen will create a ghosting signature if you play a lot of games or fast paced movies on the LCD. Ghosting = characters have shadow figures if they move too quickly

nope ... identical specs on both. I know the lower the response time, the better ... but out of the 2 screens that's the only difference I could find.

screen 1 ending in "V" has 4 usb ports

screen 2 ending in "T" has a lower response time

i clicked both the links you gave and the model # and the part # are the same as well as the descriptions i can't see where they are different given your links. I'd honestly go with the lower response time USB ports aren't that necessary on the monitor

Just remember you wont be doing any gaming with these monitors... well maybe RPGs or RTS but if you're into FPS you'll be on perma-ghost

response time is basically how fast the panel can refresh a pixel. slow response times can result in things like ghosting, where an object moving across the screen appears to have a trail or "ghost" following it, because the monitor couldn't quite refresh those pixels fast enough. does that make any sense?

if you're using it for wbe browsing and e-mail, you very likely will not be able to tell the difference. but in heavy gaming and possibly watching movies, you might start to see a difference between the two panels.

it should be noted that each manufacturer/vendor measures and rates their response times differently. there is no standard way of doing it, and the measurements can be taken in the most favorable way for each panel. so these numbers are usually almost insignificant. but a dell compared to a dell should be pretty consistent.
