kid gets beat with bat..
Even though him and his homies were cruising around looking to steal a car. They wondered into the wrong neighborhood and got one potential perp was beaten with a bat.

hmmm. Whoever wrote that story needed to investigate a little more to figure out what the hell went on. You couldn't tell whether the guy was involved in the theft or not. However it sounds like he probably was.

Howard Beach does have a history with crimes ( Mafia, 1986 biased crime )
I strongly believe that the kids got busted trying to steal a car and at the same time these kids saw them doing it and were probably like....what are they doing in my hood...etc........
its funny though...they go there to steal a car and end up getting beaten up and robbed.

If I knew my car was going to get stolen and I knew who was going to do it....I would beat the shit out of him to. Granted this dude had no chance going against 3 dudes with a weapon. Which isn't fair.

Look, I'm not racist; But if someone started trying to rob me and I beat the fuck out of him as a result, you can bet that I'd be calling him every sort of name in the book -- regardless if he was white, Mexican, or black.
Bottom line, don't try to rob someone or steal someone's vehicle, or they might actually try to defend their ability to own that piece of property.
Remember, in this country, our property is allowed to be protected with as much vigor and pride as our lives are; And rightfully so.

That's like saying you shouldn't use your, uh, Juijitsu skills when fighting someone, because it's just unfair and he has no chance.
If the guy didn't want to get into an altercation, he should'nt have been trying to rob these people. Simple as that.
