as long as you are not playing pc games on it and the response time is around 16ms you should be good for videos

the no tax and cheap shipping is very attractive

one more thing:
is there a way to get specs of my lcd?
apparently there are 2 vers of my lcd out and i think i got the early vers (16ms) but now i find out there is also a 25ms vers
this might explain the $400 price decrease since i got it but i want to be sure which i have

16ms is not acceptable for FPS or games that are fast action. Trust me i owned a 16ms monitor before i got my 12 ms monitor and there is noticable ghosting at 16ms which is why i returned it.

doom isn't that fast, i consider something like battlefield 2 or any HL or HL Mod fast paced. You'll see a trail on the characters running on some LCDs, gets annoying sometimes but if u don't notice it i guess it's fine.
