integra (gs-r preferably), prelude (vtec), celica (vvti), 99-00 civic Si (no torque but it'll move if you rev it), del slo (vtec), DSM (if you can afford the maintenance), impreza (not very fast, but still a hoot)

well the budget im lookin to spend is around 8k. i have more but it was there for maintainace and mods, but if i need to spend it i would. (Rough price of the 90k service please?) From owning my car, i have learned what i like and what i think is worth the money. so far i am only thinkin about a CAI, cat back exhaust, and a set of lowering springs and struts. i enjoy a nice handling car, with a little kick to it. the high reving i think is okay, most of my friends that roll these cars get good milage, well better than i do, and rev pretty hard. at the moment im leaning toward a GSR, i like the look, its roomier than the GTS, but i would still like opinions and such on all other cars. after i sell my VW, i would like to know what i want!
thanks guys

:werd: either would give you enough power and reliability to make you happy.

one more thing does anyone have any comparisons of the performace of the cars? like as for german cars, an audi/VW 1.8T would run with a vr6 engine and could go either way. i would assume maybe a gs-r and a gt-s would be able the same? any other comparisons? if anyone knows comparisons vs. vw/audi, that would help alot. i dont get very many realistic comments talking about hondas with vw community.
thanks

In my experience, I've come to expect German car lovers to be a little closed minded...

And I know it's off topic but I would rather drive an American car than a German one.

Integra GSR responds well to the mods you mentioned. Plus there is a lot of stuff out there for it on the aftermarket. We had two (96 and 99) and our son had a one (99).

yes i can agree to that, many german car lovers are very closed minded. i, on the other hand, started out wanting a teg, but got a jetta as a hand me down car. i learned to love it and i have a lot of respect for german cars, but i also have much respect for japanese cars also. i honestly dont like american cars, although i can respect some nicely modded ones. i was just to see waht people think and how things run. anyone with a GSR have a list of cars they have run lost to and won against?

Why don't you just go drive the cars and see how you like em, and not worry so much about what other cars you might supposedly be able to beat?
