If anyone could help me with the following question.. i'd appreciate it

On July 1st, the accounts receivable balance was $15,500. During July, $61,000 was collected from customers on account. Assuming the July 31 balance was $17,500, determine the fees billed to customers on account during July.

I have tried it a few ways.. and i cannot get it to accept the answer.

yes.. i figured it out as i was typing the question.. subract the two, begining and ending values and add that to $$ collected.. $63k
