Went up for a grind yesterday and planted myself to the ground h:
I caught myself on the way down with my hand and when I did I twisted a bit and I think I pulled some muscles around the upper rib cage area. Never had that happen before

Oh well doesn't hurt that bad but I have to take a break from my workout schedule for a couple days while it heals....guess I will just have to go out and skate some more to make up for it

 

see, yer gettin old! the thought of skating at 24 makes me cringe...its been years! i now have this fear of pavement i don't remember having even a few years ago.

 

I'm not that old...just out of practice. it's starting to come back to me but it is going to be a couple weeks yet before I am hitting the skatepark again.

 

yea, i hear ya. i got back on a BMX bike about a year ago...seemed to take a lil longer to get the feel again, but its still there.

 

and i take out the stick every now and again. thats even harder to get back into tho.

 

Yeah I have gotten my balance back for the most part on street but not quite balance enough for ramps and park yet. Considering it's been 12 years I guess it is to be expected.

On bike I could be back up to doing flatland tricks in a week or so but ramp tricks may take another couple weeks. I have always been quick to pick up technique on bike though.

 

i never got into ramps...was always flatland or dirtjumps. ah i miss the GT Vertigo. back when i loved chrome on everything

 

I always raced BMX and dirt jumped....I've kinda wanted to get back into it a little bit, but I just don't have the time that I did when I was a kid.
