Default How often do you change oil?

I don't care what is recommended in the Owner's Manual, I change my engine oil and filter every 3,000 miles or 3 months which ever comes first. I also use a gasoline additive in the fuel at every "fill-up" to keep the fuel injection system clean. What is your opinion on this subject? ----- Tanya

Every 7,000 miles. Do a search, this topic has been covered and debated many times.

Every 10,000 miles with Amsoil or Royal Purple 5w-30. Change the filter every 3000-4000 miles.

Oil every 6,000 miles, filter every 3,000. So every other oil filter is when I change the oil.

Synthetics can go longer than 3 or 5,000. But if you go for conventional it really isn't much good after 5,000.

Most fuel treatments state that you should use them with each fill up. And since a lot of reviews I've read say that they don't do much good, that kind of makes sense I guess...

It's cool you love your car, and I hope you like it here. Welcome and watch out for leg humpers.

Every 7-10000 miles. I'm about due.

Note: I drive a Volkswagen that recommends 7500-10000 miles per change, and it swallows damn near 8 quarts of the stuff.
