arrrgh....

welp, i just finished my d16z6 swap in my 91 si. took it out for a test drive and after about 30 seconds i heard what sounded like a marble in my block.

im not sure exactly what it is yet but im betting on a wrist pin being loose.

vtec was nice to have again for the total of like.. 2 seconds that i had it

motor ran strong and pulled hard... and the problem isnt because of anything we did.. so i guess i can say that my friend tony and i performed our first successful motor swap. thats a nice feeling.

i was told that the motor was pulled from a running car... :squint:

What's the noise like? Could be rod knock from a spun bearing.

if i am on the throttle it doesnt do it.. sound fine. when you let off the gas and it does it. we originally thought it was something outside the motor rubbing on the frame cuz it seemed like when the motor would rock forward it would do it. sounds like if you stick a pen in a fan.. like something being chopped up.
