Parking in a lot can be expensive, but you don't have to park there. There is free street parking in many places.

 

Depending on where in NY. In certain parts, you CAN turn right on red. Come on you NY'ers. :slap:

Parking for $20 a day is actually CHEAP (in NYC). I used to pay $10 a day - that was downright a steal...but this was in the bumblefocks AND this was 2001. Nowadays, depending on location, the median is actually $30-35 a day.

 

parking cost me $30 in NYC once. this was near canal st.

whatever you do, don't block the box at an intersection in NYC. hopefully you won't miss the signs they have posted for that.

 

That's Chinatown/Little Italy, going rate is about that price, but again, varies upon different factors: How long you're parking, What time you park, What time you pick up your car...
