So true.

ahahah, my friend used to slang lollipops in elementary school, occasionally having me pick up mexican candy from when I used to go to mexico every other weekend to visit relatives. He was ballin' :eek3:

Of course, back then, I was ahead of the game. My bday was in January, so I'd have a nice chunk of change ($150ish) by end of january from bday and xmas. I'd loan some money to my older siblings with interest :grinpimp:

heh, nothing like being an 8yr old with a $350 bank roll h:

I think by the time I hit high school there were vending machines, both soda and snacks, all over the damn school.

In middle school kids used to sell Bubblicious and Blow Pops. :reechy:

same think is happing here, i think that it's stupid but i think we should have a point system hooked up to cards.

think this, you goto the gym and you will get one point, which then can be used to unlock the use of a vending machine with soda/candy once.

that way those of us who stay in shape can still have our things.

not to mention if you are overweight you parents prolly don't care anywya, all this means is that they will pack it before school, meaning they will more than likely buy in bulk = fat people getting fatter, hehe, at least thats the way i look at it.

^that would cost the schools millions to install card readers, computer & programs to monitor student accounts, and distribute the cards to all in the district.

implementing a different meal course is by far cheaper.

yes but also count in the loss of money generated by the vending machines.

i'm sure this will mean rising school lunch prices for an extended period of time. cards and ID numbers are already in place, it should be no problem to include a reader into those cards. many schools already have bar codes on them.

prices of school lunches increase = more people on aid for lunches wastes more tax money = were paying already and not allowing our kids to be, kids.

taking the choice away from kids also means we are taking more responsibility out of their hands. this has been a leading cause of suicides in young people. It has been found that these kids that have their entire day scheduled for them are not used to being left to their own resources, and when this scdeduled lifestyle breaks down the kids don't know how to react to the world and ultimately become depressed. I'm not saying this will cause suicides, but it is definatly taking more choices out of their hands that are life critical, we need spend more time teaching the kids what not to do and less time trying to take decisions away from them.
