Im thinking about getting a beater until i can save up for a new car....i only have about 1k to spend...any suggestions on make model of car i should get...thanx

for a G? id probably pick up an EF or a 80's corolla or something... the EF might be too tempting to put mods on, but the late 80's corolla (not the AE86's), are weaksauce and boring and perfect just to putt around in

I agree, my first car was a 90 corolla and it had 164k miles, never had any major problems, dang thing kept running and running.

$1k can get you a late '80s, early 90's Mazda. 323/Protege, MX-6, 626, whichever.

id stick with corolla, was is pretty crazy is you can find one with only like 130k on it for <1k

I am with these guys, maybe a corolla or if you can find a civic for that price that is in good condition, but it probably is going to be an early 90's model
