Default wired + wireless home network

i have a linksys wired router and a wireless router
i dont want either network to access the other for security reasons

heres what ive done and what problems i have:
i have wired router at 1.2 and wireless router at 1.3
they are connected thus:
modem -> wired -> crossover -> wireless port1
wired router starts dhcp at 192.168.1.150 (earlier it was saying conflict with same IPs)
both networks can access internet
but i can access the wired router with a wireless client and the wireless router with a wired client
the wired client cant ping a wireless client and vice versa
everything uses 1.2 as the gateway
is all this normal?

ive setup MAC filtering for the wireless router and it works for the laptop but it doesnt see the psp, nor does the psp see my router

i dont see how you can prevent access to either router when everything is on the same physical network. only way i can possibly see that work is with VLANs, and i know your routers/switches dont have that.

so with that said, everything sounds normal except not being able to ping from client to client...unless you have firewall turned on on clients.

Wiring it how I told you will put you on 2 separate networks. Although I'm sure it'll be possible for someone knowing how, to get into the routers.

Why not get a simple switch to plug into the modem, then plug each router into the switch?

What do you mean by "have access to the other?"

I'm going take a shot here and recommend that you put them on different subnets in order to separate them.

replace said switch with router and it would work.
