Default What makes Alienware computers good?
Good...bad? Why is it so expensive? What parts do they use inside that makes it better than a home built custom comp?

they use a lot of top end parts, and i've heard they have awesome tech support.

meh, still overpriced compared to building your own.

top end parts... meaning? i mean top end can mean expensive parts that perform like crap. ...are they quality?

Basically it's already been said. tech support and the name... oh and those cute cases and keyboard/mouse.

But if you're a techno geek anyway, you can build a system as good or better for much less and you won't need the tech support.

well its mainly built for gaming so they load it up with the best graphics card, processor, and lots of RAM.

plus the name and tech support up the price.
