Default Just got the loan for the RSX-S, did I ruin my OEM Accord parts?!?!?

Heya,

Today I was able to secure a loan of $18,000 for 54 months for a used RSX Type-S.

Long story short, I went out to my shop to get all my OEM parts (header and down pipe, exhaust system, headlights/taillights, rims, etc)

My header and downpipe, along with my exhaust system has sand and dirt all in it. I left my header outside for like 2 months after we got my DC Header bolted on (stupid, I know) and my exhaust installer left my OEM exhaust outside for a couple of weeks before I could come pick it up in my dad's truck.

The point of this post is, how do I clean out my header and downpipe from all the sand. And what about the exhaust? It looks like there's a ton of sand in the muffler, would that shit just blow out with a nice rev to 6500?

What can I do?

I just wanted to clarify, I DID NOT take the loan, I just wanted to see if I could get one. That's why I said "secured a loan" instead of "took a loan."

Good question. I'm about to call my current policy holder (State Farm) and get a quote. Then I suppose I'll be shopping around.

Here's some background information on myself for reference:

I'll be 21 in July. I've had 3 speeding tickets (2 in 2002, 1 in early 2004), 0 accidents/wrecks. I also had a "reckless driving" ticket for spinning tires in 2003, but this got dropped in court with a simple: "I don't know how to drive stick dude." (This was in a friends car, not my Accord)

I'm paying $212 a month for full coverage on my 98 Accord. (This price is obtained from a block payment of 6 months)

Shit. State Farm quoted me like $370/mth on an 02 RSX-S, they said it would be slightly more per newer model year.

OMG. What to do now?!?

jesus, thats a lot of money for insurance. I'd say stick with the accord and enjoy the slightly lower insurance rate.

Just hose out the exhaust. Put it right on the car after hosing it out. Drive for 30mins. All done.

Damn $370 a month! That's the car I want too, but I'm not paying $600 a month for a car w/ insurance.

h22 + accord + accord insurance > RSX-S + RSX-X insurance.

:werd: just mod the accord, and maybe upgrade to the RSX-S after those tickets come off your driving record and you turn 25 and get more of a discount.
