when i say unprovoked, i mean he threw the first punch. the kid was approaching him, but made no sign that he would attack. the bus driver, without looking or thinking, just spun around and smacked him. the kids were being punks and were out of line, but there were plenty of other things the driver could have done instead of physical assault.

true, but the video doesnt show how much the bus driver was tormented before this happened. this only shows a blip.

oh, I'm not saying that the bus driver wasn't in the wrong, either. I was just commenting on the insinuation that the kid was not at fault. The way I see it, the driver should have just stayed put and waited for the deputy to arrive. The kid should have stayed in his seat, instead of trying to act like a badass.

It seems like kids these days.. think that they can act any way they want to. I've seen some kids act pretty disrespectful towards people who didn't deserve it. I have a 14yr old nephew and if he ever acted like this... he would get checked by his uncle with a quickness. Luckily, his parents raised him better than that.

the parents aren't doing their job and teaching their kids to respect the authority they are placed in. I mean come on how hard is it just to sit and ride the bus to school and let the man do his job.

true, he didn't strike first. But you're telling me if someone came up behind you and yelled "hey motherf*cker" as they approached you from behind.. you wouldn't think they were coming to attack you? I don't know about you, but that would trigger my fight or flight senses and it definitely wouldn't be the latter.
